COVID - 19 and Waves, A Psychological Corporation

Due to Covid-19 and our wish to help flatten the curve, Waves, A Psychological Corporation, has closed our physical offices to our clients and have moved our practice online. We have reached out to our current clients to let them know about our new setup and now we want to share that information with our wider audience.

We have set up a page on our website for more information about our practice and COVID-19. Including some lovely resources. This can be found here https://www.wavespsych.com/wavescovid19

Rest assured that the psychologists at Waves, A Psychological Corporation have long been utilizing web based applications and we are quite familiar with virtual / online video telemental health appointments. We are learning the latest information available to do our very best to provide clients with therapeutic environments so that the work on oneself can continue. Dr. Weissman has of late (virtually) attended an event on telemental health and has shared what she’s learned with the other members of her staff.

We are now seeing our current clients online and even have a few openings to work with other people from anywhere in California, as both of our clinicians are licensed psychologists in California. Please reach out to us at Waves to start feeling better today at 619-403-5578 or office@wavespsych.com .

Who I AmI am Abigail “Abi” Weissman, Psy.D. (PSY 27497). I am a clinical psychologist but you might also call me an empowering supporter and a self-love affirmer.

What I DoI help people who wish they could be their full queer, transgender, religious, liberal, activist, polyamorous, and/or kink selves but hold themselves back because they are scared they will be unloved, unemployed, and rejected by their loved ones and communities.

Why?I encourage them to share their deepest wishes so that they can learn to be happy being themselves. I know from my own path to wellness and years of working with LGBTQIQA clients that it is possible to survive the fear of others’ judgment, hurt, and disappointment to live your true self.

Contact Me TodayI believe that loving yourself will change the world for the better! That’s why I hope that you contact me today. I provide individual therapy, relationship, and group therapy; consultation for clinicians and organizations; supervision; and trainings.

The best way to reach me is through email at info@doctorabi.com.
