Speak to me: Dr. Abi presents at the Empowered Trans Woman Summit 2017!

Hello everyone!

I'm thrilled to announce that I am participating in the Empowered Trans Woman summit this year! I just recorded my interview. It can be heard for free at the site

If you decide to download the entire summit, there is a 47 dollar fee that goes to the creator, Cassie Brighter. She has decided to generously share the fee with her presenters if we have an affiliate link.

When you click on my affiliate link, you will be directed to the site where you can enjoy all of the Summit content for free. I can't wait to check out the other presenters and learn all I can to share with my clients and colleagues alike. Please consider going through my affiliate code to get to the site. If you go through my affiliate link, you will have the same fantastic experience as other attendees and, if you decide to purchase the download, I will receive 50 percent of the proceeds.

This will be a fabulous way for me to get paid for my services. You'll pay for the time it took for me to prepare to present, the coffee beverages I ingested in order to be able to stay up after my regular work day to record the presentation, and participate in making my practice a sustainable enterprise.

It was a vulnerable experience for me. I tend to try to keep my own stuff quiet as my work is about honoring other people's stories. This time, I shared my story and how my experience as a person who was assigned female at birth came into my identity as a woman and, at times, as a woman of trans experience myself and allowed me to create a psychology practice that is trans-informed and trans-aware and trans-happy.

Warmly,

Who I AmI am Abigail “Abi” Weissman, Psy.D. (PSY 27497). I am a clinical psychologist but you might also call me an empowering supporter and a self-love affirmer.

What I DoI help people who wish they could be their full queer, transgender, religious, liberal, activist, polyamorous, and/or kink selves but hold themselves back because they are scared they will be unloved, unemployed, and rejected by their loved ones and communities.

Why?I encourage them to share their deepest wishes so that they can learn to be happy being themselves. I know from my own path to wellness and years of working with LGBTQIQA clients that it is possible to survive the fear of others’ judgment, hurt, and disappointment to live your true self.

Contact Me TodayI believe that loving yourself will change the world for the better! That’s why I hope that you contact me today. I provide individual therapy, relationship, and group therapy; consultation for clinicians and organizations; supervision; and trainings.
